Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a PwC Private Tax Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Contribute technical knowledge in the area of specialism, including assistance with research, design and implementation of a wide variety of tax planning solutions
- Review of various tax compliance deliverables
- Anticipate stakeholder needs, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes they are required
- Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations
- Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail
- Encourage everyone to have a voice and invite opinions from all, including quieter members of the team
- Initiate open and candid coaching conversations at all levels
- Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart
- Navigate the complexities of cross-border and / or diverse teams and engagements
- Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust; and
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
Experience and skills you'll need to solve
- Experience delivering tax consulting and tax compliance services
- Masters Degree in Tax or working towards / completion of Levels I, II and III of the CPA In-depth Tax Course an asset
- Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal / recognized designation
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized manner
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Superior problem solving skills, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong analytical capability, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you a reputation of providing excellence in client service
- A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and / or coaching diverse people and perspectives
