The Work

INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY strengthens clients' ability to detect, prevent, and respond to infrastructure threats (networks, clouds, endpoints, mobile, and IoT).

This includes cloud security, network architecture transformation, network security controls, modern secure remote access, endpoint detection & response.

This is an operations role with responsibility for maintaining and improving a large, complex client's infrastructure security operations and will require in-depth understanding of what it takes to maintain infrastructure security operations at a similarly complex organization as well experience bringing innovation to bear to consistently improve the environment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for infrastructure security managers include :

  • Analysis, troubleshooting and development of solutions to network problems;
  • Administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems;
  • Participating in infrastructure and application project teams providing consultation on information security designs;
  • Implementation of infrastructure security hardware and software with a focus on network segmentation and inspection of traffic;
  • Performing analysis of network security needs that contribute to the design, integration, and installation of hardware and software;
  • Review and define requirements for information security solutions;
  • Integration with corporate WAN, LAN and server architectures and other security programs;
  • Interacts with senior management at a client and / or within Accenture
  • Acts independently to determine methods and approaches and decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.
  • Manages small to medium sized teams and / or complex operations at a large client environment.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Must be in possession of, or be eligible for, reliability clearance to work at federal government sites.
  • Must have prior experience of leading Cloud security operations
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in network security design and operations, and network administration;
  • Must have a strong technical knowledge of network security controls relating to IPS / IDS systems, security monitoring, vulnerability management, network segmentation and firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet);
  • Minimum of 5 years hands on experience implementing firewall solutions (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet) for large Canadian or multi-national companies;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Platform Security (UNIX / Windows);
  • Minimum 3 year of network packet capture and interpretation experience;

Preferred Skills :

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree
  • Vendor certifications (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet);
  • Industry recognized Professional Security certification (e.g. CISSP)
  • Knowledge of cyber defense vendors and product capabilities
  • Travel as required
