Test Automation Developer / Engineer is responsible for the overall feature and end-to-end testing for Aviva Canada on various projects and initiatives in an agile environment by ensuring comprehensive test coverage, including increase first time automation, this role will report directly to the Sr.
QE Manager / Automation Manager. The candidate will work closely work with delivery team and develop and follow test strategy according to IT governance and audit requirements follow the project delivery, ensuring QA standards and strategy are followed.

What you will do :
Designing and completing the project Test Strategy and contribute to development team towards Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Responsible for providing status updates / issues and reporting via metrics to project team.
Responsible to review user stories, requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback from a Quality Assurance Perspective
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases and reviewing the same for the project delivery test team to support TDD endeavor.
Design, develop and execute scripts.
Design, Develop Automation Framework, Improvement of existing framework.
Create Test case, Test data and Test execution.
Responsible for detailed regression testing and ensure test artifacts are current and well-maintained.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers, business analysts, scrum masters, product owners) and provide perspective from a Testing focus.
Ensure that all the goals are met.
Ability to meet challenging deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.

What you will bring :
Technical experience in test automation and in design and development of automation frameworks covering different technology and application platforms.
Deep understanding & experience of automation development tool sets (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, SOAPUI / JSON)
Experience in implementing test automation development efforts in an Agile SCRUM development environment.
Good technical writing skills and ability to describe clearly complex processes and tasks.
Proven work experience with Digital Automation Testing (Cross Browser, Mobile)
Expertise in Automation Testing using Selenium Java / Python ( Framework Development, Enhancement)
API Testing (XML / JSON, SOAP API, REST API - Framework Development, Improvement))
Strong experience in Java Development
Experience working with CI / CD Pipeline, First time Automation, Digital Test Automation
Knowledge of SQL
Working with GIT / Bit bucket (Source code management tool)
Jenkin / JIRA Integration using API.
Guidewire Application Experience (asset)
Insurance Domain Knowledge (asset)
Working knowledge on automate testing accessibility per WCAG standard is a plus.
