The Demand & In-Market Supply Chain Planner is an integral and meaningful role with critical responsibilities such as supporting the Integrated Business Plan Process (IBP) for Canada as well as performing Supply Network Planning activities to ensure adequate supply of our products are available for our customers to order.

Key Responsibilities : Demand :

  • Lead the Demand Review meetings (IBP cycle) as the D&IM representative
  • Provide full end-to-end supply chain support to assigned brand teams(s)
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Finance & Corporate account business partners in understanding demand trends and propose forecast changes as well as generate long term demand scenarios to feed into global capacity planning
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts to ensure consensus demand plan can be reached Supply :
  • Lead effective net requirements planning and handle effective supply with the sourcing plants and the extended J&J Supply Chain group
  • Look for efficiencies and follow-up on replenishment plans to maintain desired inventory levels for the Canadian business
  • Anticipate supply disruptions or shortages, and call out critical issues
  • Support the new product launches (e.g. launch date and product availability) and support products discontinuations
  • Manage supplier performance and relationships Inventory Management :
  • Measure, identify and coordinate the improvement efforts for customer service levels
  • Actively support the definition of inventory safety stocks and its planning parameters
  • Collaborate with Deliver functions outbound / inbound, inventory and capacity management
  • Reduce product obsolescence (SLOB) by coordinating shelf life and version / labelling management Education :
  • Minimum Bachelor's or equivalent University degree required; Master's or equivalent degree preferred Experience and Skills : Required :
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Supply Chain experience (e.g., Demand and / or Supply Planning, inventory management, net requirements planning)
  • Experience with Advance Planning Systems (e.g., SAP, OMP, Anaplan or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail and proven track record of applying analytical thinking skills
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written
  • Demonstrated effective communication and ability to work in teams
  • Passion to exercise leadership and influence across functions / teams Preferred :
  • APICS or equivalent supply chain certification Other :
