Are you an expert in enterprise information governance with a passion for streamlining data, compliance, and recordkeeping systems? Our client is seeking a Senior Information Management Specialist for a hybrid contract role based in Toronto, working 3 days onsite and 2 remotely. This is a 6-month contract with the opportunity to lead the end-to-end implementation of an Enterprise Information Management (EIM) platform (e.g., OpenText).
In this role, you will define and execute information management strategies, configure document classification and retention protocols, and ensure compliance with security and privacy standards, while providing strategic guidance to internal teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration and rollout of the EIM platform (e.g., OpenText)
- Conduct business analyses to define information management requirements (recordkeeping, access, privacy)
- Develop and implement governance frameworks : classification schemes, metadata standards, document management rules, and retention schedules
- Manage the full project lifecycle : requirements gathering, technical integration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support
- Collaborate with IT, business analysts, project managers, architects, and training teams to ensure cohesive delivery
- Provide ongoing advisory on information management best practices and strategic alignment
- Deliver training sessions and awareness initiatives to build organizational capability
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, conducting compliance and privacy impact assessments
- Participate in IM committees and cross-functional working groups
- Create policies, procedures, and detailed documentation (e.g., training guides, audit reports)
- Monitor, evaluate, and report performance metrics tied to IM maturity and adoption
- Conduct environmental scans, process mapping, and gap assessments to inform future improvements
Qualifications
Must Have :
Nice to Have :
Degree in Information Management, Library Science, IT, or a related field
Professional certifications such as CRM (Certified Records Manager)
Experience supporting public sector organizations or navigating government regulatory frameworks
Experience developing IM performance metrics and maturity models
Participation in IM working groups or steering committees
