Junior Programmer Analyst
Job Summary
Reporting to the Business Solutions Manager, the Junior Programmer Analyst will develop and maintain applications and databases by evaluating client needs;
analyzing requirements; and developing software systems. The Junior Programmer Analyst will serve as technical advisor to user staff and they will confirm program operations by conducting tests and modifying code.
This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert, who, recognized and supported by management and a stable work environment, can deliver quality work on a consistent basis.
Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle tasks in order of priority.
Responsibilities
- Design and creation of mobile apps
- Ongoing maintenance of existing programs
- Developing and re-working custom software
- Writing conversion programs for existing data
- Additional duties as assigned
Technical Requirements
- Two years' experience in the IT field would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of programming software / technology
- Fluency in Java, Kotlin, or Swift is a plus.
- Prior experience with Android, or iOS development is an asset.
- Knowledge of software development and fundamental design principles used in scalable applications.
Business Requirements
- Ability to work under pressure of time constraints
- Comfortable using version control to manage, collaborate, and backup projects.
