The Opportunity : We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist to join our team for an 18-month contract. As part of the Port Saint John team, you will be responsible for developing and executing eye-catching marketing campaigns, creating visually stunning graphics, and driving brand awareness. Join us and be a part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and excellence.Your Focus : Creative & Content DevelopmentCreate graphic design and video content for small projects.Lead video and photography projects, including asset management and storage.Oversee website updates and content improvements.Manage signage projects in collaboration with Operations and Engineering.Support the Digital Marketing Specialist with eye-catching social media campaigns.Brand Management & Tactics ExecutionUphold brand standards and ensure consistency across the organization.Lead brand activation projects and execute advertising campaigns.Act as a brand resource within the Marketing Communications Committee.Project & Supplier ManagementManage relationships with suppliers (e.g., marketing agencies, photographers, print suppliers).Lead and implement larger brand-related projects.Assist with event planning and execution, including the port's marquee annual 'Port Days' conference.Cross-Departmental SupportAssist with community & stakeholder initiatives requiring brand and event planning assistance.Collaborate with other departments on brand-related needs and ideas.Logistics & Budget ManagementSupport in managing the budget.Qualifications : Post secondary education in marketing & graphic design.Demonstrated experience working with Adobe Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro and Photoshop.Available portfolio of work.You Are : A team player.Invested in your local community.Dependable & professional.Open to learning and trying new things.Continuous improvement focused.You share the following values, where you : Keep safety and wellness at the forefront and make decisions based on a safety-first approach.Demonstrate initiative, innovation, and perseverance in the face of obstacles.Treat people with respect and build trust by honouring your promises and being open and honest in your interactions.Believe in continuous learning and development for both you and your fellow team members.Include others in your work through community and stakeholder engagement and building relationships.Port Saint John & What We Offer : Through our focus on people, we serve as connectors who find innovative solutions to create economic and social value.
