About the role
Our growing team is looking for a Salesforce Application Architect!
What you’ll do here :
- Develop the application architecture that will support the integration of the Salesforce platform with our different systems, leveraging both custom development and standard platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with various development and architecture teams in leveraging the platform to its full potential, while educating about its realities and limitations.
- Design scalable and robust application and programmatic architectures to be implemented by the various project teams, and review designs produced by technical leaders and colleagues.
- Act as a safeguard and ensure that the designs and implemented solutions meet our standards and follow our guidelines.
- Contribute to the corporate, IT, and strategic visions and play a key role in determining which responsibilities the Salesforce platform will hold in Intact’s technological ecosystem.
- Encourage the adoption of the platform’s best practices and ensure that the various functional requirements are realized following its paradigms.
- Collaborate with the team’s technical actor, developers and leads, and provide them with the mentorship and support they require.
- Act as a bridge between the analysts, translating functional requirements into platform designs, the implementation team, and the projects’ leadership.

What you bring to the table :
- A degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or any combination of training and equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead and / or Architect.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex Salesforce integrations, leveraging the standard APIs as well as modern event-driven technologies.
- Knowledge of software design patterns (GoF) and OOP principles (SaOLID), as they pertain and apply to Salesforce’s Apex.
- An exhaustive knowledge of Salesforce s modern frontend stack, including LWC.
- Knowledge of SOA (SOAP / REST), Micro-services, Security (OWASP), event-driven architecture, MuleSoft or other integration / gateway platforms considered an asset.
- Deep understanding of the platform’s features and their underlying trade-offs.
- Salesforce Certification, Trailhead badges, and related trainings, will be considered an asset.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
