Title : Database Administrator_ Senior
The VOR Master Service Agreement which expires on April 5, 2025, leaves some Contracts with funding unassigned for fiscal 2025-26. If the current statement of work expires March 31, 2025, the remaining funds can be used to exercise an option to extend the SOW beyond March 31, 2025 based on business case approvals. Such extensions will be allowable, only if the Master Service Agreement is extended beyond April 5, 2025 and be upon the same terms, conditions, covenants contained in the SOW.

Responsibilities
- Creation of functional and technical specifications for database development, analyze requirements and help project team in solution, technical design, implementation, and support.
- Work with the project team in completing all relevant and required documentation in alignment with OPS standards.
Qualifications
At least 10 years of relevant experience as a Database AdministratorExperience in database replication / Real-Time data delivery with either MSSQL or Oracle products (5+ years)Experience administering Oracle 12C+, MSSQL, Azure SQL, Elastic Pools, SQLMI.Creation of technical specifications for Azure, SQL and Oracle database systems developmentDesign, implement and work with the project team in completing all relevant and required documentation in alignment with OPS standardsUndertake special assignments / sub-projects as assignedConduct, assess, evaluate and document stakeholder interests and business needsCreate and validate business scenarios and use casesProduce visual depiction of use cases and process flows; ensure alignment with the program area and associated business architecture, as well as traceability to solution logical and physical architecturesCreate, review, provide input and support of Enterprise Architecture artifacts for all checkpoints as requiredCreate system and user interface design and modifications (data & screen) as requiredReview all test scenarios to ensure the requirements are met; establish traceability matrix to monitor outputEnsure alignment and adherence to Ministry of Government Services’ processes and standardsSupport the testing team during system and UAT testingParticipate in Knowledge transferExperience administering database management systems (i.e. ORACLE, Exadata, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure etc.) for business intelligence and analytics applicationsCreate, test and implement safeguards to maintain data integrity and protect against unauthorized accessAssist with SQL optimization and code reviews to ensure queries are efficientTechnical Skills :Oracle Exadata, Golden Gate, MSSQL, Azure SQL technical knowledge and experience.Demonstrated experience in modifying database structures using information provided by application developersDemonstrated experience with monitoring, optimizing and performance tuning using either manual or automated toolsAble to develop and interpret highly complex SQL to support queries and provide feedback for developers.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills :Research, and evaluation of complex design options.Superior ability to identify root cause of complex environmental or underlying database specific issues.Determining areas of risk and recommending innovative alternatives and options for resolution to meet program needs.Demonstrated experience working within a team environment to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.Communication Skills :Oral and written communication skills, Interpersonal and consultative skills,Experience preparing operational documentation (build guides, procedures, etc)Knowledge TransferKnowledge to be Transferred :CodesScriptsKnowledge to be Transferred to : Project Manager / Team membersDetails of Transfer : (how transfer will occur) 1 : 1 meetings / team meetings / documentation on SharePoint site, throughout the duration of the project life cycle etc.Summary
