Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description

  • Maintaining accuracy of the overall inventory
  • Evaluating and managing inventory procedures
  • Using data to identify efficiency opportunities
  • Assist in preparation and execution of inventory counts
  • Training teammates in stocking / picking procedures
  • Communicating any inventory issues and working to identify root causes
  • Work with shipping / receiving teammates if products are missing
  • Maintaining and developing effective warranty and return procedures
  • Any additional duties related to inventory management and process improvements as requested

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and / or University degree an asset
  • A minimum of 5 years warehouse experience
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
  • Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accurately process orders
  • Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
  • Intermediate math skills
