Structural Engineer
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, validating, and documenting structural frameworks and assemblies for modular hybrid-timber construction.
You will oversee development of CREE structural products from design, engineering, detailing, procurement, manufacturing and assembly in collaboration with the Product Team.
You will be co-leading the project based engineering team, managing the Engineer of Record (EOR) for various projects, and overseeing documentation of requirements for permit and construction documentation.
Senior Structural Engineer Responsibilities
- Development of the workflow methodologies between Generative Design and SAP2000
- Development of the automation between 3dexprience Generative Design and SAP2000
- Development cost for structural assemblies by easy evaluation of alternative What if scenarios
- Development of the workflow methodologies for Steel DETLA BEAM structural optimization
- Development the workflow methodologies for PREFAB SYSTME slab, FEA analysis and shop drawing automation
- Development the workflow methodologies for Envelope timber framing and shop drawing automation
- Development of engineering templates and automation with our CATIA TEAM
- Development of EBOM- MBOM with our CATIA TEAM
co lead Development of IFC exchange standards and Parameters with our Digital Twin team
Development the manufacturing process engineering with our Delmia team
Building Structural Engineer Responsibilities
Workshop structural analysis -engineering and reports
lead Engineering for building design including; FEA simulation, structure modeling using TEKLA
- Develop and validate alternative design scenarios while complying with local codes and project requirements
- Structural Schematic Design Report
- Selection, Contract set up and SOW for EOR
- Detailed Design steel and foundation construction for cost engineering
- Lead structural coordination
- Structural Permit Set with our structural lead
- Review and approval of manufacturing drawings
- Review and approval of on-site assembly
Requirements :
- Experience with local building codes in Vancouver and Toronto Canada
- Must reside in Canada
- Proficiency SAP2000 and Tekla
- Knowing Catia or 3DExperience is an asset
- Enjoys active problem solving
- Excellent time management skills
- Can operate independently to support both the product and project team
