Wellness Coordinator / Camp Medic (Overnight Camp Bancroft, ON)
Fraser Lake Camp is run as part of the charitable work of Willowgrove, a land-based, not-for-profit organization known for our focus on outdoor experiences for people of all ages.
Since 1968, Willowgrove has offered camping, outdoor education, and recreation programs year-round to our community and beyond.
Job Description :
The Fraser Lake Wellness Coordinator is part of the Leadership team and reports to the Operations Manager. The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for the health and wellbeing of all campers and staff with the assistance of a volunteer Nurse.
The Wellness coordinator tasks include dispensing medication, assisting campers and staff with medical needs, managing the Health Center, and being the Fraser Lake Cabin Fairy.
Employment Dates : May 25 August 17, 2024. Must be available for the full summer. Possible contract extension may be available depending on needs to open camp and end of summer rentals.
Position Requirements :
- Age 18+ with a minimum 3 years of camp experience
- Strong communications skills both written and verbal
- Prior leadership experience experience supervising others is an asset
- Experience working with children of all ages and varying levels of needs and behaviours
- Standard First Aid / CPR-C. Additional qualifications, or currently being enrolled in a college nursing or paramedic program are an asset
- Mental Health First Aid (not required but strongly recommended)
- Clean vulnerable sector police record check
