Our client is looking for a dynamic Program Manager with extensive experience in implementing and executing the IT Enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR)Framework.

The ideal candidate will lead a team to develop disaster recovery strategies, implement DR plans and processes, and collaborate with business units to create a comprehensive business continuity plan.

You will play a pivotal role in partnering with key stakeholders to execute proactive and effective Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives across the organization.

Your efforts will help embed a culture of risk and resiliency management into the organization's delivery, support, and operations, thereby enabling business objectives.

Work location : Downtown Toronto

Duration : 6 months

Responsibilities

Leading a technical team to develop and implement Disaster Recovery Plans. Create and execute strategies to

respond to and recover from IT disasters events.

Partner with IT and business stakeholders in conducting risk assessments and managing technology,

resiliency and recovery risks

Establish and oversee the coordinated DR testing work plans. Establishing testing approaches and schedules

to ensure minimum testing activities are occurring

Regularly check on the effectiveness of disaster recovery strategies and make necessary modifications.

Provide training programs for employees on disaster recovery procedures.

Conduct evaluations after a disaster and make necessary adjustments to the recovery plans

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or other relevant professional designation.

Working experience in Disaster Recovery leadership role

Experience as a Program / Project Manager or client-facing consulting is an asset

Project Management certification is a plus

Ability to lead project teams

Excellent oral, written, presentation and facilitation skills

Self-motivated and quick learner

Strong understanding of project management methodologies with experience in one or more of the following

IT delivery model : Waterfall, Incremental, Agile, Lean, DevOps

Experience with build, promotion and release management processes

Required Skills :

Strong technical knowledge in infrastructure and disaster recovery

Technical champion with people-first mentality

Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels of IT staff and business

users

Excellent analytical skills to assess ideas / requirements and propose solutions

Top-to-bottom thinker

Risk and issue management

Writing technical documentation

Ability in diagnosing complex problems and providing detailed analysis and recommendations

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
