Job description

Founded in 1925, the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA) represents over 800 certified dermatologists across Canada. The association exists to advance the science and art of medicine and surgery related to the care of the skin, hair, and nails, by providing continuing professional development for its members, supporting and advancing patient care, and raising awareness through thought- provoking public education campaigns. The National Office manages a budget of over $3 million with an Ottawa based team of professionals.

Currently, the CDA requires an experienced Manager, Recognized Product Program, a hybrid role at our Ottawa office.

The Programs :

The Canadian Dermatology Association has two long established programs under its Product Recognition Program (PRP) to help consumers find sunscreen and skin health products that meet high standards defined by our Dermatologist expert panel.

The Skin Health Program (SHP) recognizes skin care products that are fragrance-free or unscented, have low potential for irritation, and do not contain the most common allergens.

The Sun Protection Program (SPP) recognizes sunscreen products that meet a standard that provides effective sun protection. The approved products in both programs are licensed to display a recognized program logo and statement for which a licensing fee is paid.

More information is available on our website HERE . These programs are highly valued by the CDA and industry and respected by Canadians. The PRP is one of our key programs that provides an important educational service to consumers and value for our CDA members.

These programs make it easy for consumers and patients to navigate through numerous products on the market to find products that have been reviewed by dermatologists and display the CDA logo of recognition
