S&C is continuing to grow. Where do you come in? We are looking for a knowledgeable Co-op student to join our team as a Lean Assistant.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and wants to gain valuable work experience.
Work Term : Fall 2024 Co-op (Sep - Dec 2024)
Work Arrangement : On-site, 5 days per week
As a Lean Performance Systems Assistant, you will
- Conduct time studies.
- Analyze current processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Understand and help with the standard work method development.
- Support in the 5S blitz’s and prepare documents.
- Support in the Kaizen activities and standard work
- Contribute to the culture of Continuous Improvement.
- Support identifying Identify wastes and implement process improvements
- Implement improvement actions by supporting the change in the teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who are we looking for? Someone who
- Pursuing a Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Diploma / Degree or related field in a post secondary institution.
- Is registered and eligible for the Fall 2024 co-op placement
- Has strong mechanical / mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Is detail oriented.
- Has good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
