Deployment Specialist

SimplyCast a leading provider of engagement software and services for organizations worldwide, is seeking a Deployment Specialist to join its team.

About the Position

As a Deployment Specialist you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining dedicated SimplyCast environments for a variety of use cases and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify the company's or client's minimum and target system requirements based on availability and capacity requirements.
  • Prepare deployment plans and timelines in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Create guidelines, analyze existing systems, and implement solutions against problem areas.
  • Maintain active communication lines with the team for a seamless workflow.
  • Conduct periodic asset discovery and auditing.
  • Install and configure software and troubleshoot hardware / software issues.
  • Perform post-deployment front-line troubleshooting of network, hardware, and software issues.
  • Maintain software license agreements and inventory of equipment and components as required for each environment.
  • Draft technical documentation to formalize the deployment standards, installation details, processes, and procedures adding to the knowledge base related to deployment configurations.
  • Troubleshoot software related problems with third party application / system vendors to implement, upgrade, assess software applications, and resolve user issues to meet business requirements.
  • Implement hardware and software upgrades and maintain stability, usability, and security for desktop / laptop / mobile systems; achieve SLA's.
  • Maintain support of various software database servers including but not limited to : software updates, user maintenance, and troubleshooting errors.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or engineering.
  • General knowledge of the techniques used in systems analysis and design.
  • General knowledge of the current literature, trends and developments in the field of technology and networking.
  • Strong working knowledge of core technologies Linux (Ubuntu), PHP, MySQl, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Apache HTTPD, HAProxy, and one of Amazon AWS, Azure, Alibaba, Google Cloud, IaaS environments.
  • Ability to systematically determine the source of computer problems and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to perform initial installations or upgrades of computer hardware.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with network hardware and software.
