We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Marketing Specialist with a strong background in retail, distribution and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and developing data-driven marketing strategies. This role requires expertise in identifying growth opportunities, optimizing distribution channels, and enhancing brand positioning in competitive Retail locations / FMCG markets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to provide actionable insights for marketing and sales teams.
- Evaluate, optimize and implement distribution strategies across various channels, ensuring product availability and brand visibility.
- Develop, track, and report on key marketing performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, shelf market share, and ROI on marketing initiatives.
- Conduct pricing analysis and make recommendations to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and supply chain, to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
- Monitor industry developments and identify emerging opportunities in the FMCG sector to stay ahead of market trends.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to forecast market demand, segment audiences, and personalize marketing efforts.
- Lead consumer research initiatives to better understand customer preferences, pain points, and opportunities for product innovation.
- Oversee the development of packaging and point-of-sale materials, collaborating closely with design and sales teams. Provide guidance on the placement of design elements and copy to ensure effective presentation.
- Gain a thorough understanding of marketing regulations, including packaging requirements, to ensure compliance and support the creation of materials that align with industry standards.
- Lead and manage a team of field representatives, developing strategies and initiatives to drive business growth and enhance retailer satisfaction through effective trade visits and engagement.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, specifically in the FMCG and distribution sectors.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Excel, SQL, and CRM systems.Demonstrated experience in interpreting complex data sets and translating insights into actionable marketing strategies.Solid understanding of FMCG industry dynamics, including supply chain management and distribution networks.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing business challenges.Must have a positive, solutions-oriented attitude, able to consistently generate new ideas and adapt to feedback constructively.Demonstrates resilience and creativity in developing practical and effective marketing strategies.Benefits :
