Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic localization team as a Language Specialist.

In this newly created role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our content in your language pair.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the overall quality of our localized materials, ensuring that they meet our high standards and resonate effectively with our target audience.

The ideal candidate should possess good language proficiency and cultural awareness, as well as experience in key localization processes.

As a Language Specialist, you will be an essential part of our localization efforts, ensuring that our products and services resonate with our target audiences while upholding our commitment to quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Asset creation and maintenance :

Creating and maintaining language assets including style and tone of voice guides, term lists / glossaries, and translation memories.

Quality assurance :

  • Reviewing and evaluating localized sales, customer success, and marketing content, including text, graphics, audio, and video, to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance for the target market.
  • Identify and rectify linguistic, grammatical, and stylistic errors to maintain a high level of quality and consistency.

Localization testing :

  • Conducting thorough testing of EZRA’s web and mobile applications, website, and other digital products to ensure proper functionality, linguistic correctness, and user-friendliness for users in the market.
  • Reporting and documenting any issues, bugs, or inconsistencies found during testing and collaborate with the development team to address them.
  • Copy adaptation : Providing copy adaptation and transcreation support in your language pair while ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.

Collaboration :

  • Providing feedback and guidance on linguistic and cultural aspects to localization vendors as needed.
  • Participating in cross-functional discussions to align on expectations and quality standards across various content types.

Continuous improvement :

  • Staying updated on industry best practices, language trends, and cultural nuances to continually improve the quality of localization for the market.
  • Suggesting and implementing process enhancements to optimize the localization quality assurance workflow.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, German Literature, Localization Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in localization on vendor or client side.
  • Proficiency in German Speaking (DEDE) , both written and spoken, at a native level.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for linguistic accuracy.
  • Experience in copywriting / copy adaptation and SEO.
  • Experience in linguistic quality assurance and localization testing.
  • Strong familiarity with localization tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to ensure content relevance for the market.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with theoretical approaches to translation is a plus.
