In this role, you will work directly with Fortinet's IT Operations Team for new service deployment. You will be required to define and refine service spec.

You will need to coordinate with internal teams to design, develop, and deploy new services into production. You will be working with service teams in the development of new platforms and services which will be added to Fortinet’s robust security portfolio.

You need to follow through on production with proactive and strategic actions that help achieve corporate growth objectives, through innovative, persistent, and conscientious efforts.

Technical knowledge in automation, container-based infrastructure, CP / IP, firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, IPS, Antivirus, Web Filtering, Antispam will help you to achieve successful project results.

You will be working with vendors to define the requirements and contracts related to projects.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Successfully lead assigned projects from initiation to closing.
  • Review technical requirements from network and service teams to define the project requirements and BOM.
  • Drive troubleshooting technical issues, or mitigation efforts on issues that arise during projects, and work with service teams to implement remedial solutions.
  • Work with multiple service teams to migrate services to new platforms, including gathering requirements, and working with the team to find migration solution
  • Collaborate with network and service teams to develop deployment documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and manage contract suppliers to keep project completion on schedule.
  • Develop project plans based on input from various service teams, and business owners.
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels, and proactively communicate project requirements, risks, and statuses.
  • Documentation, review and control ensure quality of writing for all project documents and product repository.
  • Lead and attend conference calls regularly with contract suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to review / track project status and critical tasks assigned.
  • Analysis of components in design, quoting proposal, quality index, supplier performance and production forecast / build plan.

Job Skills Required :

  • 5+ years working in an IT Environment related to Networking, Software Development, or Infrastructure.
  • 2+ years working on OpenStack platforms
  • 2+ years of Project Management Experience in an IT Environment.
  • Experience managing containerization, automation, or other related OpenStack projects.
  • Knowledge of TCP / IP, firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, IPS, Antivirus, Web Filtering, Antispam, etc.
  • Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong professional presence and a proven ability to interface with various levels of management.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment as well as individually, internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Strong Planning, project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Able to adapt to changes and be agile in managing the project.
  • Demonstrable experience using Traditional (Waterfall), Agile, and Hybrid Project Management Methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with multiple and different sizes projects simultaneously.
  • Strong documentation capability and office software skills like excel, outlook, word and HTML editing.
  • Strong experience in using project management tools like Microsoft Projects, Smartsheet.
  • Attitude and willingness to get things done for assigned tasks and work under pressure.

Educational Requirement :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline. MBA is a plus.
  • RHCE is bonus
  • PMP, Scrum Master Certification
  • CCNA or CCIE is a bonus.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $74,000 - $100,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.

Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
