About The Opportunity
Our Ottawa based client is looking for a Controller on a term basis until the end of December 2024, with a possibility of extension.
This position is in-office, located in the east end of Ottawa.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Jonas Enterprise and possess strong financial acumen.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Cash Flow Management : Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs and strategic initiatives.
- Financial Oversight : Keep a close eye on general financials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- HST Filing : Prepare and file HST returns in compliance with relevant tax regulations and deadlines.
- Bank Reconciliation : Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to verify and reconcile financial transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable : Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Payroll Processing : Upload payroll hours to ADP each Monday to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.
- Data Entry : Enter invoices and credit card receipts into the Jonas Enterprise system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
About You
- Minimum five years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Post secondary degree or diploma in accounting or related field.
- Previous working experience with Jonas Enterprise is strongly preferred.
