Job descriptionTo support the social, emotional and / or behavioural well-being of students; Provide intervention strategies and coordinate appropriate community referrals; By implementing a team approach, students will be supported in a professional and confidential manner. Completion of a three-year, post-secondary diploma in a Child and Youth Care program or equivalent; Up to three months related employment or volunteer experience with children; First aid, CPR, and intervention strategies; Team-oriented person with well-developed interpersonal skills; Knowledge of community agencies and organizations; Working understanding of related hardware and software; In addition, may be called upon to perform other duties / responsibilities comparable to the above as the above; describes only the typical primary features of this position. Varies as needed on a casual on call basis for long-term placements. Must be available Monday to Friday for Elementary and Secondary School hours.
