Fabricator

Location: Richmond, BC

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Overtime available)

We’re looking for an experienced Fabricator to join our skilled production team. In this hands-on role, you’ll take projects from blueprint to final installation—cutting, assembling, welding, and installing high‑quality metal components. If you take pride in precision craftsmanship, working with heavy materials, and being part of a supportive team environment, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Create and construct patterns, guides, and templates for metal cutting
• Interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to plan materials and work sequence
• Layout reference points and patterns on heavy metals
• Cut, assemble, fit, and weld metal sections and plates into complete units or sub‑assemblies
• Install fabricated components into final products
• Operate light machinery such as brake presses, shears, cutting torches, and grinders
• Set up and operate heavy equipment including radial drills, end mills, and edge planers
• Preheat workpieces to enable shaping and forming
• Monitor quality, accuracy, and production standards throughout fabrication
• Track material usage and report material issues as needed
• Ensure all work meets fabrication standards, compliance requirements, and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Accurately complete work orders, timecards, and related documentation
• Effectively prioritize daily work and meet deadlines
• Participate in cross‑training as required to support team and facility operations

What You Bring

Essential Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on fabrication experience
• Red Seal certification
• CWB certification
• Experience working with steel, flux‑core welding, and stick welding
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Commitment to workplace safety and accuracy

Nice to Have

• Forklift experience
• Confined space knowledge or certification
• Experience with class production environments
• Marine fabrication experience

Work Environment

• Work performed both indoors (including confined spaces) and outdoors
• Projects may require working at heights up to 25 feet
• Regular use of wire feed welding machines
• PPE required: steel‑toed boots, welding helmet, and safety glasses/goggles
• Candidates should have basic tools (., chipping hammer)
• Occasional travel to off‑site locations may be required
