Job Title: Welder
Job Description

This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, utilizing common hand and power tools, and operating fabrication equipment. The position is physically demanding, requiring movement, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints and welding symbols.
• Utilize common hand and power tools and fabrication equipment.
• Perform physical tasks including moving, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
• Engage in repetitive movements for fabrication and welding processes.
• Handle boat hauls using the fabrication equipment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1 year of aluminum welding experience (MIG).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience with common hand and power tools and fabrication equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred 2-3 years of fabrication experience.
• Basic understanding of production machinery usage.

Work Environment

Join a team of 9 in a medium-sized, bright, and open shop. The work involves handling boat hauls and collaborating with the Lead Hand Welder. The shift runs from 6AM to 2:15PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $42.00/hr.
