Job description

Our client in Abbotsford is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team for a 6-month contract to assist through a busy year-end, major system/entity realignments, and upcoming audits. Joining an established AP pod of 4, you will take ownership of high-volume invoice processing and backlog cleanup, allowing the core team to focus on year-end project deliverables.

Competitive Pay Rate: Attractive hourly pay range of $25.00 – $28.00/hr

Responsibilities
High-volume invoice posting and processing across multi-currency and multi-entity environments.
Perform 3-way matching for PO-based payables, including inventory-based expenses, freight, and utilities.
Manage high-volume AP queues, clearing backlogs and maintaining day-to-day housekeeping.
Exercise basic problem-solving to flag discrepancies and escalate complex exceptions to senior team members.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 6+ months of hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
Core AP Knowledge: Solid understanding of PO-based payables, inventory matching, freight, and multi-currency/entity environments.
Software Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with Syspro is a strong asset) and intermediate MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
Work Style: High attention to detail, efficient at high-volume transactional data entry, and comfortable working fully on-site.
