Job description

A leading logistics and transportation company is seeking a Trainer to join its growing team in the Halifax, Ontario. Known globally for its excellence, the company is expanding and looking to build a top-tier team. With a strong focus on values like collaboration, entrepreneurship, high standards, and operational excellence, we are looking for a team lead who shares and embodies these core principles.

The Trainer will play a key role in the integration and development of the skills of warehouse employees. He/she ensures the training of newcomers as well as the development of the teams in place to guarantee the efficiency of operations and the respect of the company's standards.

Job start date : September, 2026

3PL warehouse, high-volume and fast-paced environment (mandatory)

Responsibilities

Training of new employees
Welcome and support new employees during their integration.
Facilitate training sessions on company procedures, tools and best practices.
Ensure the development of the skills of new recruits at their workstations.
Employee Skills Development
Train teams in new procedures and updates to logistics processes.
Observe and evaluate employees to identify areas for improvement.
Adapt teaching methods according to the needs and levels of each person.
Monitoring and evaluation of training courses
Carry out tests and simulations to validate what they have learned.
Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to employees.
Identify training needs and propose appropriate action plans.
Compliance with standards and continuous improvement
Ensure the strict application of safety instructions and quality standards.
Collaborate with Team Leaders and Process Assistants to optimize training processes.
Participate in the continuous improvement of training methods and materials.


Qualifications
- Associates training experience in a warehouse (mandatory)
- 3PL warehouse, high-volume and fast-paced environment (mandatory)
- Management experience.
- Warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of logistics and the supply chain.
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Highly-developed skills in health and safety at work.
