Job Objectives : While focusing on delivering the highest level of customer service the Product Specialist provides on-site agricultural equipment technical support for HORSCH machines in Manitoba. The Product Support Specialist grows and solidifies dealer relationships by communicating, training, educating, and developing strategies focused on optimizing HORSCH equipment and agronomic solutions. The position's duties include in-field technical assistance, sales support, project management, customer demonstrations, and the execution of marketing activities to maximize engagement. In season, extensive travel is needed including average weekly overnight stays of up to three nights per week.Job Responsibilities : Other duties may be assigned.Provide specialized infield assistance to help dealers and users maximize machine operations within the province of Manitoba.Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Supporting the product development process and prototypes during the transition to series production.Responsible for retrofit programs, technical updates, and preparation of documentation.Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturer's specifications.Provide structured training programs to enhance technical knowledgeRoll out and train dealers on HORSCH portal and service information system.Assist Sprayer and Planting, Seeding, Tillage service specialist in coordination of warranty claims within the assigned territory. Provide details to the Service Advisor for warranty reports to explain work for reimbursement.Assist in preparing sales and stocking plans for parts of all HORSCH and LEEB equipment.Generate ideas and solutions through solid customer relationships. Follow up on customer needs by regular communication within the team.Required SKILLS : Experience with AG equipment and service functions is necessary.Knowledge of the AG industry and dealer networks is required.Strong technical acumen including electronics and precision farming.Technical education or technical work experience.Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills mostly in English. Able to talk with customers by telephone, listening as customer describes a problem, interpreting, questioning, advising, and describing (talking through) a procedure to repair / replace a part.Self-starter, ambitious & motivated with the ability to work in a team.An accountable attitude in working with expensive equipmentAbility to use a computer to perform diagnostics and look up service manuals. Read electrical and hydraulic schematics to diagnose a problem.Advanced computer skills such as Microsoft Office SuiteEducation : Related post-secondary education (Engineering, Agriculture, and / or other relevant fields or trades such as Heavy Equipment); or Equivalent combination of education and related industry experience.Two years of higher education or equivalent relevant work experienceTravel : Regular travel within Manitoba.
