Job descriptionAssigning resources; Periodically attending FAT; Adjusting commissioning scope to integrate FAT successes and deficiencies; Direct and / or Perform commissioning of Electrical equipment including MCC’s, Transformers, Distribution Panels, Motor and Motor Starters, Variable Frequency Drives, Low Voltage Circuits, etc; Understanding of piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID); Understanding of Blue Line and Red Line mark-up procedures on wiring diagrams, P&ID’s, panel drawings, single-line drawings and loop sheets; Experience in walkdowns of systems and capturing punch list items; Working with engineering and operations department to promptly find the preferred alternative for alleviating issues discovered during commissioning; Familiar with Control of Hazardous Energy & Electrical Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Procedures, Ability to develop / implement LOTO procedure, Ability to act as Electrical LOTO Authority; Familiarization and experience with Commissioning Permit Systems and Safe Systems of Works; Use of Completions Commissioning software, specifically Smart Completions preferred. One of the following : Bachelor of Instrument Technology / Electronic Technology. 10+ years related experience; 5+ years offshore experience; Previous supervisory experience; Previous experience in offshore planning and offshore drilling required; Previous experience with the following : draw works, hydraulic power units, mud pumps, top drives; Drilling rig experience considered an asset.
The Electrical Coordinator is responsible for inspecting, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
Job Function :
- Complete Commissioning Documentation to track Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Electrical Systems;
- Provide input for commissioning system definition;
- Support the development of dynamic commission procedures;
- Complete A and B Check Sheets;
- Assure the appropriate Electrical Lock-out / Tag-out processes are in place for commissioning and that the management of these processes is being performed by competent personnel;
- Direct and / or Perform calibration and fault diagnosis of electrical systems;
- Support project Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) including :
Reviewing procedures;
