Commercial HVAC Technician
Pay: $36.00 - $44.00 per hour

About the Role
We are currently hiring for a Commercial HVAC Technician position for individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, and experienced in servicing commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and related mechanical systems. This role is well suited to someone who can troubleshoot effectively, work independently, and maintain strong service standards across a range of commercial sites.

The position is designed for candidates who are comfortable handling inspections, maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and system performance checks while working in office buildings, retail locations, industrial settings, or other commercial environments. This opportunity can be a strong fit for technicians who want steady work, competitive pay, and room to grow over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems and related equipment
  • Diagnose system issues and complete repairs accurately and efficiently
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and system checks
  • Work with rooftop units, split systems, ventilation systems, and related commercial equipment
  • Read work orders, service records, and technical information carefully
  • Ensure all work is completed according to safety standards, site requirements, and company procedures
  • Communicate clearly with customers, building staff, site contacts, and internal team members
  • Maintain accurate service records, notes, and job documentation
  • Identify worn, damaged, or failing components and recommend next steps as needed
  • Support clean, organized, and professional job site practices

Requirements

  • Experience working with commercial HVAC systems and equipment
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or control-related issues
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices and job site procedures
  • Ability to use tools, meters, testing equipment, and service-related materials properly
  • Reliable transportation if travel between service locations is required
  • Strong attention to detail and dependable work habits
  • Ability to follow technical procedures, service schedules, and site requirements
  • Professional attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with commercial service calls, maintenance programs, and repair work
  • Familiarity with rooftop units, commercial air handling systems, and building HVAC equipment
  • Ability to read diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical notes
  • Strong problem-solving ability and practical troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Relevant trade certification, ticket, or licensing where required
  • Willingness to continue learning and growing within the trade
