Are you passionate about keeping machinery in top shape and eager to dive into the latest technology?

As a Service Technician, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact by ensuring that our customers' equipment is always running at its best. Your dedication to their service needs, combined with your expertise and keen troubleshooting skills, will ensure their machinery runs smoothly and efficiently. Picture yourself working alongside other skilled Technicians in a well-equipped shop where you'll have all the support and resources necessary to deliver exceptional service.

Keep the Wheels Turning: Use cutting-edge tools and technology to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment.

Field Service Excellence: Travel to local farms to provide on-site service. You'll be the expert that keeps everything running smoothly.

Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and prevent any unexpected downtime during crucial farming seasons.

Tech-Savvy: Utilize John Deere computer programs to access manuals, run diagnostics, carry out precise repairs, and install the latest upgrades and modifications to equipment.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside a dynamic team of skilled professionals, sharing insights and solving complex technical problems together.

Continuous Learning: Engage in company-sponsored training programs to expand your expertise and stay ahead of the curve.
Safety Mindset: Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements

Education: Journeyperson Certificate – Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or Agricultural Equipment Technician (AET).

Experience: 4+ years in agriculture equipment repair or a related field. Previous John Deere agricultural equipment and product experience is an asset.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and computer-based diagnostic tools.

People-Focused: Team player with a friendly, professional attitude and focus on customer service.

Soft Skills: Attention to Detail, strong time management, ability to work independently, and adaptability.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs with long periods of standing and walking.

Valid Driver's License: You'll need this for travel to service calls.

Benefits

Training and Development: We keep our team current by investing twice as much in training as any other John Deere dealer in Southern Alberta both inside and outside of our dealership.

Paid Time Off: Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, we provide you with paid time off beginning at 3 weeks in your first year of employment.

Sponsorship: Take advantage of our sponsorship opportunities to help you hone your skills and accumulate on-the-job hours and experience toward your Apprenticeship.

Benefits: We provide a comprehensive health benefits package to keep you and your family healthy, including life insurance, disability insurance, critical illness, accidental death & dismemberment, extended health, dental, prescription drug coverage, and an employee and family assistance program.

Retirement: Plan for your retirement by participating in our employer-matched Registered Retirement Savings Plan.

Compensation: You'll enjoy a competitive compensation scale, incentive programs, and opportunities for advancement.

Equipment: We supply the equipment and technology needed to excel in your role, including an annual boot and tool allowance.

Join us in revolutionizing the future of agriculture - where your skills have a direct impact on the success of farmers and the sustainability of our industry. We can't wait to welcome you to our team!
