Job Summary:
Oliver Irrigation is actively seeking a dedicated Shop and Parts Labourer to join our team. This role is essential to our operations, requiring someone who can manage various tasks in our shop, handle parts with care, and ensure our workspace remains organized and efficient. We're looking for a proactive individual who can work independently, has a keen eye for detail, and possesses a hands-on approach to tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Organize, catalog, and maintain the parts inventory, ensuring easy access and accurate counts.
  • Assist with receiving and unpacking shipments, inspecting for damages and ensuring accuracy against order forms.
  • Support technicians by sourcing and delivering parts required for their tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.
  • Operate various shop tools and machinery, following safety protocols at all times.
  • Facilitate the ordering of parts, liaising with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Assist with inventory audits, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Dispose of waste materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Collaborate with team members on larger projects or when additional support is required.
  • Maintain records of parts transactions, warranties, and returns.
  • Aid in the assembly and disassembly of equipment or parts as needed.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks around the shop, ensuring everything is in working order.


Requirements

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shop environment, parts management, or a similar role is an asset.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with basic shop tools and equipment.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and suppliers.
