The Telecommunications Structures Department is part of the "Operational and Digital Technologies" sector, which gives us access to high-level professionals who can push the boundaries of traditional structural engineering. Whether it is in structural dynamics, digitization and valorization of digital data, through the use of drones for structural surveys, the environment we offer you will allow you to participate in several promising and enriching initiatives in addition to the classic apprenticeship of the structural engineer profession

Our office in Vancouver is looking for a Telecommunications Structural EIT to deliver engineering projects in telecommunications structures in BC, Ontario and Quebec. This role will involve actively participating in the design and analysis of telecommunication structures, ensuring the technical quality of deliverables and compliance with project requirements. The engineer will contribute to performing at-height structure survey and inspection, solving technical problems, performing calculations, reviewing drawings, and coordinating with other members of the engineering and drafting team, under the supervision of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in kick-off meetings and technical coordination with team members
  • Perform at-height survey and inspection of telecommunication towers and structures
  • Perform the design and validation of towers, reinforcements and special structures
  • Design and verify foundations and anchoring systems
  • Write structural analysis and other technical reports
  • Participate in the coordination of the drawing of engineering drawings with the draftsmen and ensure the quality of the deliverables
  • Participate in the implementation and improvement of innovative methods and tools and thus contribute to the optimization of processes
  • Participate in interdisciplinary projects within CIMA+

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Be a member of EGBC. Other Canadian professional engineering order (EIT) will be considered an asset.
  • Strong interest in solving complex technical structural calculations
  • Fluency in English (oral and written). French language an asset
  • Excellent time and priority management
  • Team player, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Interest in the design and improvement of automated calculation tools
  • Valid Driver’s licence

Asset

  • Experience in Telecommunications Structural Engineering
  • Knowledge of SAFI Telecom and TSTower
  • Experience in at-height telecommunication structure survey and inspection
