TEMPORARY ACCOUNTING CLERK II - FINANCE
LOCATION :
Board Administration Office, Pembroke
SCHEDULE :
7 hours per day, 35 hours per week, 12 months per year
RATE OF PAY :
27.72- $28.55 (Group 6)
START DATE : Immediately
END DATE :
July 7, 2025 (or return of incumbent)

QUALIFICATIONS :
Two year post secondary diploma in business and / or finance. Minimum of 6 to 12 months experience required. The applicant must comprehensively use software including accounting software, spreadsheets, word processing and web based applications. Communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing. Work effectively independently as well as in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills, with particular attention to detail. Handle sensitive and confidential material with discretion and ensure protection of information. Focus on providing excellent customer service by identifying and meeting customer needs, using processes and procedures that are customer oriented and seeking solutions to resolve service issues.
DUTIES :
Under the direction of the Payroll and Accounting Supervisors, supports both the Payroll and Accounting Departments (approximately 50% in each department) produces the bi-weekly and monthly payrolls including making adjustments; maintains employee records; deals with enquiries; remitting reports to outside agencies; compiling and distributing internal reports; review and code and enter invoices for payment; match invoices with approved purchase orders; enter journal entries and accounts receivable invoices; communicate with personnel and suppliers regarding payment of invoices.
