Join a manufacturing team where your impact will be direct and visible. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day production activities while ensuring safety, quality, operational performance and employee development.

This position is ideal for a leader who can engage teams, improve processes and contribute to achieving production goals in a complex, technology-driven environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise, coach and develop a team of production employees in a manufacturing environment
Manage daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity and delivery objectives are achieved
Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture
Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality and manufacturing standards
Monitor production schedules and proactively address issues that may impact project milestones and delivery timelines
Coordinate workforce allocation, materials and resources to support production requirements
Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and productivity
Lead continuous improvement and change management initiatives
Establish, implement and maintain production procedures and operational standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing objectives and customer commitments
Manage employees in accordance with company policies and collective agreements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience managing production schedules, workforce planning and operational performance
Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment
Experience working in a unionized environment
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Knowledge of manufacturing health and safety best practices
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Experience working in a complex, technology-driven or evolving manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills in both French and English

English proficiency is required for this role as it involves regular interaction with colleagues, customers and partners located outside of Quebec.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
