Job description

Position Scope

We are seeking a Robot Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain robotic automation for our food processing equipment. The ideal candidate has a background in Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field and possesses 1–2 years of experience in robotic programming or relevant project work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Robot Programming & Optimization : Develop and implement robotic automation solutions for palletizers, ensuring precision, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • System Integration : Work with PLC programmers, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers to integrate robotic systems with conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and other automation equipment.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting : Conduct thorough testing and debugging of robotic programs, diagnosing and resolving software or hardware issues to improve system performance.
  • Start up and troubleshoot PLC / HMI programs, electrical installation and wiring of automation system for our food processing equipment
  • Process Improvement : Optimize robot movement paths, speeds, and sequences to enhance productivity while maintaining food safety standards.
  • Documentation & Maintenance : Create and maintain programming documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user manuals for robotic systems.
  • Collaboration & Training : Work closely with the production team to train operators and maintenance staff on proper robot usage and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Safety & Compliance : Ensure all robotic systems comply with food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in robotic programming or automation projects, preferably palletizers.
  • Experience programming industrial robots (e.g., ABB).
  • Knowledge of robotic path planning, motion control, and sensor integration.
  • Familiarity with Omron / Rockwell PLC programming and HMI systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of robot safety standards and automation best practices.
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Effective communication skills for training and documentation.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards.
  • Moderate travel may be required for robot and automation commissioning, testing, or troubleshooting at client sites.
