Nos bras robotiques ultra-compacts sont utilisés dans le monde entier par des équipementiers, des intégrateurs de systèmes et des utilisateurs finaux pour des tâches nécessitant précision et fiabilité en matière d'automatisation.
Votre rôle
Nous recherchons un Rédacteur Technique dont la plume est aussi précise que nos robots. Votre objectif principal est de produire une documentation claire, concise et parfaitement bilingue pour nos utilisateurs internationaux, tout en assurant le respect des normes rigoureuses de l'industrie. Pour plus d'informations, n'hésitez pas à consulter notre documentation : intégrerez notre flux de travail moderne ("Docs-as-Code"). Vous rédigerez le contenu en équipe avec notre Conseiller Exécutif et Scientifique, tandis que notre équipe d'ingénierie se chargera de la maintenance de l'infrastructure de compilation (Sphinx) et du déploiement web. Vous pourrez ainsi vous concentrer sur la rédaction, la structure et la conformité.
Vos principales responsabilités
Création de contenu technique : Rédiger, réviser et mettre à jour les manuels d'utilisation, les guides de programmation et les notes d'application pour nos bras robotiques.
Documentation de conformité et normes : Collaborer avec l'équipe de certification pour intégrer les exigences normatives (ISO 10218, CE, UL, etc.) dans la documentation. Vous assurerez que les avertissements de sécurité et les déclarations de conformité sont précis, à jour et formulés selon les standards.
Rédaction (Sphinx) : Écrire la documentation en format texte brut (reStructuredText, Markdown, LaTex) pour alimenter notre interface web.
Collaboration via Git : Utiliser Git au quotidien pour soumettre vos textes, gérer les versions et collaborer avec les développeurs (commit, push, pull requests).
Traduction Français/Anglais : Assurer une traduction et une adaptation parfaite des contenus. Vous êtes le garant de la qualité linguistique et terminologique dans les deux langues.
Investigation technique : Collaborer avec les ingénieurs (mécanique, logiciel, électrique) pour récolter l'information technique brute et la vulgariser pour l'utilisateur final.
Votre profil
Titulaire d'un diplôme supérieur en informatique ou génie électrique, vous disposez d'une expérience confirmée dans un rôle similaire, idéalement dans un contexte industriel ou technologique.
Vos compétences :
Bilinguisme Anglais/Français irréprochable : Excellentes capacités rédactionnelles dans les deux langues (orthographe, grammaire, syntaxe et terminologie). Ceci est un critère éliminatoire.
Compréhension normative : Capacité à lire et interpréter des normes techniques et de sécurité pour en extraire les informations pertinentes pour l'utilisateur.
Familiarité avec Git : Compréhension des commandes de base (clone, add, commit, push) et du principe de gestion de version décentralisée.
Aisance avec le balisage léger : Expérience avec reStructuredText (reST) ou Markdown.
Esprit technique : Capacité à comprendre des concepts de robotique, d'électricité ou de matériel (hardware) et à les expliquer simplement.
Atouts (Nice-to-have) :
Expérience antérieure avec le générateur de documentation Sphinx.
Expérience dans le secteur de l'automatisation industrielle ou de la robotique.
Connaissance de base de la ligne de commande (terminal).

👉 Poste à temps plein (40h/semaine) à pourvoir dès que possible sur notre site situé 1300, rue St-Patrick, Montréal, QC (déménagement prévu à Brossard mi-2027)

Mecademic develops compact, precise, and innovative robotic automation solutions for the electronics and life sciences sectors. Our ultra-compact robot arms are used worldwide by OEMs, system integrators, and end-users for tasks requiring extreme precision and reliability.
Your Role
We are looking for a Technical Writer whose writing is as precise as our robots. Your main objective will be to produce clear, concise, and perfectly bilingual documentation for our international users, while ensuring compliance with rigorous industry standards.

You will draft the content as part of a team with our Executive and Scientific Advisor, while our engineering team will take care of maintaining the compilation infrastructure (Sphinx) and web deployment. This will allow you to focus on writing, structure, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical content creation: Write, review, and update user manuals, programming guides, and application notes for our robotic arms.
- Compliance and standards documentation: Collaborate with the certification team to integrate regulatory requirements (ISO 10218, CE, UL, etc.) into the documentation. You will ensure that safety warnings and compliance statements are accurate, up to date, and formulated according to standards.
- Writing (Sphinx): Write documentation in plain text format (reStructuredText, Markdown, LaTex) to feed our web interface.
- Collaboration via Git: Use Git on a daily basis to submit your texts, manage versions, and collaborate with developers (commit, push, pull requests).
- French/English translation: Ensure that content is translated and adapted perfectly. You are responsible for linguistic and terminological quality in both languages.
- Technical investigation: Collaborate with engineers (mechanical, software, electrical) to gather raw technical information and simplify it for the end user.
Your Profile
With a degree in computer science or electrical engineering, you have proven experience in a similar role, ideally in an industrial or technological context.
Your skills:
- Fluent bilingualism in English/French: Excellent writing skills in both languages (spelling, grammar, syntax, and terminology). This is an essential requirement.
- Understanding of standards: Ability to read and interpret technical and safety standards in order to extract information relevant to the user.
- Familiarity with Git: Understanding of basic commands (clone, add, commit, push) and the principle of decentralized version control.
- Proficiency with lightweight markup: Experience with reStructuredText (reST) or Markdown.
- Technical mindset: Ability to understand concepts of robotics, electricity, or hardware and explain them simply.
Assets (Nice-to-have):
- Previous experience with the Sphinx documentation generator.
- Experience in the industrial automation or robotics sector.
- Basic knowledge of the command line (terminal).
Job conditions
