Tandem is recruiting for a FULL-TIME POSITION as a CONTROLS PLC TECHNICIAN (Type F skill set) with a minimum of 5 years experience to support our client’s projects in our WINDSOR, ON LOCATION. This position involves working offsite at the client's location. Maintain safety equipment such as Safety PLCs, light Curtains, Fanuc DCS. Develop and maintain HMI systems using Allen Bradley Factory Talk View ME Software. Understand and follow Stellantis (Chrysler / FCA) PLC and HMI programming standards. Understand and control ABB and Fanuc Robots, including app errors and functions. Install and maintain SEW, Allen Bradley and Nidec / Comau Frequency Drives. Proficiency in Windows and networking. Experienced in DeviceNet and Ethernet controls networks. Proficient in RsNetworx. Experience with Stellantis FIS system, including workbook modifications. Ability to communicate, and instruct changes and document as needed. Experience in automotive manufacturing including Sealer / Adhesive, Resistance and Mig welding, Belt transfers, and robotic material handling Understand and follow legislative safety standards and regulations (CSA). Must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines, multiple priorities and fluctuating and conflicting schedules Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task with multiple projects Responsibilities and Duties : The Controls PLC Technician is responsible for, but not limited to the following : Develop and maintain PLC control systems using Allen Bradley Studio 5000. Develop, program, and maintain PLC control systems using Allen Bradley Studio 5000. Maintain and troubleshoot Safety PLCs, light curtains, and Fanuc DCS for compliance with safety regulations. Develop and support HMI systems using Allen Bradley Factory Talk View ME Software while ensuring compliance with Stellantis standards. Operate, program, and troubleshoot ABB and Fanuc Robots, resolving application errors and function issues. Install, program, and maintain SEW, Allen Bradley, and Nidec / Comau Frequency Drives. Maintain and troubleshoot Windows-based control systems, DeviceNet, and Ethernet networks, including RsNetWorx. Perform workbook modifications and updates within the Stellantis FIS system to ensure compliance and integration. Document PLC / HMI / robotic programming changes and effectively communicate system modifications. Troubleshoot and maintain sealer / adhesive systems, resistance and MIG welding, belt transfers, and robotic material handling systems. Adhere to CSA safety standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with industry-specific safety guidelines.
