This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex IT projects, ranging from market scanning and procurement to the implementation of mission-critical voice and radio systems. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage multi-year vendor contracts, and ensure that technology transitions have zero adverse impact on emergency operations.

Pay Rate: $609.86-$644.49/Diem

Advantages
- Mission-Critical Impact: Direct technology projects that underpin essential emergency response services where system reliability is vital.

- High-Level Visibility: Act as a key decision-maker and advisor to executive project champions and portfolio teams.

- Technical Depth: Gain exposure to specialized telecommunications infrastructure, including radio-trunking standards and public safety-grade voice logging.

- Provincial Exposure: Opportunity to work across a variety of geographic locations and dispatch environments.

Responsibilities
- Project Governance: Develop and execute integrated project plans, charters, and schedules; manage work packages within the broader portfolio to ensure on-time delivery.

- Financial Management: Maintain a high level of fiscal control over large project budgets, including accurate forecasting, estimating, and reconciliation of actuals.

- Technical Implementation: Oversee the replacement and implementation of voice communication services, trunked radio systems, paging systems, and voice logging solutions.

- Vendor & Contract Management: Negotiate multi-year contracts for ongoing maintenance and support; collaborate with Legal and Procurement to ensure organizational interests are protected.

- Risk & Issue Mitigation: Proactively identify risks in 24x7 critical environments and develop robust options analysis and action plans for mitigation.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage expectations of senior executives and steering committees, providing authoritative briefing notes and progress reports with a high degree of political acuity.

- Operational Coordination: Travel to provincial dispatch centres to coordinate the remediation of telephony and radio equipment for infrastructure modernization.

Qualifications
- Project Leadership: 10+ years of Program/Project Management experience using PMI standards and the SDLC.

- Technical Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) equipment, including Communication Console Systems (CCS) and Trunked Radio Systems.

- Complex Procurement: Experience leading projects from initial market scanning through to successful procurement and completion.

- Resource Management: Proven ability to identify, acquire, and lead diverse technical teams while resolving resourcing and interpersonal conflicts.

- Communication Excellence: Expert in preparing executive presentations and briefing notes; strong ability to communicate complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.

- Critical Environments: Experience managing projects in 24x7 environments; familiarity with the land ambulance sector is considered a significant asset.
