Job descriptionSource and purchase materials for field foremen and prefab teams. Review, manage, and issue purchase orders to preferred vendors. Build and sustain relationships with suppliers. Schedule and expedite material deliveries when necessary. Match vendor invoices against orders for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. Handle material, scrap, and reel return procedures, securing credits from suppliers. Prepare RFP and RFQ documentation. Summarize RFP and RFQ details for operational distribution. Communicate with vendors about pricing and delivery issues. Monitor commodity markets and update Operations on changes. Track supplier KPIs and provide quarterly summary reports. 2 years of purchasing / procurement experience, ideally in construction or electrical contracting. Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers and vendors. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Effective communication and ability to manage multiple priorities. Eligible for reliability security clearance. Knowledge of electrical systems and construction industry experience. Resourceful problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Role Summary
The procurement coordinator assists site-level teams with purchasing activities to ensure materials are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. This position requires strong excel skills and experience in report creation, as well as a willingness to build relationships and demonstrate negotiation abilities for maintaining supplier partnerships.
