Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Sanitation worker for our client in Delta, BC. We are looking for reliable, safety-conscious, and motivated individuals to join a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Pay Rate: $20/hour
  • Location: Delta, BC | Access to your own reliable transportation is needed as the site is not accessible via public transportation
  • Shift: 8-hour shifts | Monday to Sunday | 6:00pm - 2:30am
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, floors, walls, and drains
  • Perform scheduled sanitation activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning and sanitation
  • Complete sanitation records, logs, and related documentation accurately
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, WHMIS, and workplace safety procedures
  • Handle waste disposal, recycling, and chemical storage in accordance with established procedures
  • Safely use cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and high-pressure cleaning equipment
  • Identify and report sanitation concerns, equipment issues, or maintenance requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support production and operational teams as required
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
  • Previous sanitation, janitorial, food production, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work in cold environment (1°C to 4°C) and being exposed to wet and noisy conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and repetitive movements
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
