We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant / Junior Assembler to join our team. In this entry-to-mid-level role, you will support our assembly team, maintain clean and organized work spaces, prepare items for shipping, and assist with general shop maintenance.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic who wants to gain hands-on experience in assembly, fabrication, and shop operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Shop & Assembly Support;

  • Assist mechanical and electrical assemblers with basic assembly tasks under supervision.
  • Clean, degrease, and pressure-wash equipment parts prior to assembly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop floor, including weekly maintenance, emptying recycling/waste, and restocking supplies.

Material Handling & Shipping:

  • Safely operate a forklift to move materials and components around the shop.
  • Build custom pallets and wood crates for outbound shipments.
  • Package, secure, and prep finished products for safe delivery.

Operations & Safety:

  • Accurately track and record labor hours assigned to specific job tickets.
  • Strictly follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and shop protocols.
  • Perform other shop-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

Requirements:

  • Certifications: Valid Forklift Certification (required prior to or upon hiring).
  • Physical Capability: Ability to comfortably lift up to 35 lbs and stand/walk throughout the shift.
  • Language: Fluent written and spoken English comprehension.
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a standard pre-employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (mechanical/electrical coursework is a plus).
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, metal fabrication, or warehouse/shop environments.
  • Hands-on experience with pneumatic tools and hand tools.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints or technical drawings.
  • Basic computer literacy and practical math skills.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay: Fair market wage based on your experience and skill set.
  • Health & Dental: Comprehensive corporate medical and dental coverage (available after 3 months).
  • Paid Time Off & Sick Leave: Accrued vacation and paid sick leave following the probationary period.
  • Allowances: Annual boot and tool allowances to keep you equipped.
  • Consistent Schedule: Steady day-shift hours with an early finish every Friday.

How to Apply:

If you are local, ready to start immediately, and eager to build your skills in a hands-on technical environment, we want to hear from you! Please submit your resume detailing any relevant experience.
