We have developed a reputation for delivering projects safely, on budget and on schedule. We provide quality design and construction strategies and solutions to our clients using a think-straight, talk-straight, do-it-right-once approach with no surprises. We are committed to innovation, safety, and operational excellence in everything we do. Our team is driven by integrity, respect, and dedication to creating sustainable solutions that make a difference.
We’re known for some of the city’s most iconic buildings including the Saddledome, Taylor Family Digital Library, Bella Concert Hall at Mount Royal University, and the ATCO Commercial Centre. Come join a company where you can be involved in the next iconic project to help shape the Calgary skyline for the future.
As we grow, we’re looking for an Equipment Manager who shares our passion for excellence to join our dynamic team.
The Role
The Equipment Manager will play a critical role in overseeing our fleet of vehicles, construction equipment, and internal rental assets, including tools and machinery. If you’re a proactive leader with experience in leading a team, managing rental equipment, a knack for logistics, and a commitment to safety and efficiency, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Do
- Manage Fleet Operations: Oversee our diverse fleet, including trucks, heavy machinery, and service vehicles, to ensure they operate safely and efficiently across all projects.
- Lead Rental Equipment Management: Take charge of our internal rental equipment, from small tools to lifts, to ensure each project has what it needs to succeed. Track usage, manage inventory, and optimize turnover to support project timelines.
- Drive Maintenance & Repairs: Create and manage preventive maintenance schedules, keeping our equipment in top condition and minimizing downtime.
- Ensure Compliance & Safety: Enforce safety protocols, train drivers and operators, and maintain compliance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations.
- Optimize Asset Management & Procurement: Make strategic decisions on procurement, leasing, and asset disposal to keep our fleet and rental assets up-to-date and cost-effective.
- Manage Budgets & Control Costs: Develop and monitor budgets for fleet and rental equipment, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Utilize Technology & Reporting: Leverage fleet management software and GPS tracking systems to monitor and report on asset utilization, performance, and operational efficiencies.
What You Bring:
- Experience: At least 5 years in Equipment management, ideally within construction or heavy equipment environments.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of maintenance, regulatory compliance, and budget management. Proficiency in fleet management software is a plus.
- Attributes: A proactive, detail-oriented leader with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
