We are seeking a Summer Intern to support the development of an AI-assisted documentation process for creating and maintaining product manuals. This role will help replace and streamline traditional technical writing by developing a structured workflow that uses AI tools to generate first drafts of product manuals and technical documentation.
The intern will review existing engineering documentation, organize training content, support AI prompt development, and validate AI-generated manuals. The role will work closely with Engineering, Regulatory, and Product teams to ensure documentation is accurate, structured, and aligned with company standards.
This internship provides hands-on experience in technical documentation, AI-assisted content generation, and product documentation workflows.
Position Description:
- Review and analyze existing product manuals, specifications, and technical documentation
- Organize documentation to support AI-assisted product manual generation
- Assist in developing standard templates and structured documentation formats
- Support development of AI prompts and workflows to generate product manuals
- Generate draft product manuals using AI tools and existing engineering documentation
- Review and validate AI-generated content for technical accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Regulatory teams to confirm technical details
- Identify documentation gaps and opportunities for standardization and automation
- Help build a repeatable AI-based process for creating product manuals
- Prepare summary reports and recommendations for improving the documentation workflow
- Other duties as required.
Position Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Data Science,
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Interest in AI tools, automation, and technical documentation
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools or prompt engineering is an asset
- Basic knowledge of Python, scripting, or automation tools is an advantage
- Exposure to technical documentation, product manuals, or engineering documentation is beneficial
- Experience working with structured documents, databases, or knowledge bases is a plus
