POSITION SUMMARY:

BRC Group is a manufacturer of commercial office furniture located in Georgetown, Ontario.

We have an immediate opening for a Data Entry Intern to support a Contract period in our Customer Experience Department. The ideal candidate will assist with entering and maintaining accurate information within our customer database. This role is designed for a detail-oriented individual who thrives on precision, balancing data entry with data cleanup and maintenance.

The Data Entry Intern will act as a bridge between Customer Experience, Quoting & Sales Admin, and Operations, ensuring that dealer and customer records are accurate and complete. They will also support error identification, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute high-accuracy verifying of pricing, quantities, SKUs, and shipping specifications
  • Assist with database cleanup and standardization of customer and dealer records
  • Support new customer setup and ensure completeness of required documentation
  • Perform regular open order error checks
  • Assist with recurring error reporting
  • Develop understanding of internal systems to support reporting and analysis
  • Maintain digital records
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Identify recurring data issues and suggest process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Data Governance & Control

  • Ensure all updates comply with data governance standards
  • Escalate discrepancies prior to making changes
  • Operate within defined system permissions
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all data

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain 90% - 95% data accuracy of all data entered within 1 business day of receipt of the request
  • Complete tasks within defined timelines
  • Adhere to data quality standards
  • Contribute to identifying improvement opportunities

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

To be able to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • No prior experience required. Training will be provided.
  • High School Diploma required; post-secondary would be considered an asset.
  • A track record of database experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional "eagle-eye" for detail with a low tolerance for errors; ability to spot discrepancies in large reports.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
  • Good time-management skills; effective time management an asset.
  • Typing speed: 35 WPM.

  • Status: Contract (3-months).
