Avionics Technician

Contract position in Calgary, AB - Full Travel Package Included

Job Description

The contractor will work on avionics components for Dash 8, Twin Otter, or CL aircraft as projects arise. Responsibilities include troubleshooting avionics parts, wiring components, crimping, splicing, testing, and installing equipment. There may be opportunities for bench work when available. Contractors will be assigned to teams based on their experience level.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot avionics parts integrated into aircraft.
• Wire components, including crimping, splicing, and testing.
• Install avionics equipment.
• Perform bench work as projects demand.
• Collaborate in teams based on expertise.

Essential Skills

• Must have 5+ years of experience with Dash 8, Twin Otter, or CL aircraft.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Ability to crimp, terminate, and splice wire.
• Skills in soldering and blueprint reading.

Compensation Package

• $75.00 daily per diem
• Hotel accommodation or weekly living allowance
• Flights or mileage reiumbursement
• Travel hours paid
• Daily travel allowance paid based on eligibility
• Weekly payroll payment schedule
• Vacation hours/statutory holiday pay (Based on employment status)

Work Environment & Schedule

• This contract is located onsite in Calgary, Alberta
• Shift options:
  • Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • Monday–Thursday, 11:00 AM–9:30 PM
• Overtime available based on project needs

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
