Adecco is currently hiring a Metal Fabricator for a full-time opportunity in Halifax, NS. This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional with strong metal fabrication and welding experience who enjoys working in a shipyard or industrial environment.
If you have experience working with metal fabrication, welding, and reading technical drawings, this is a great opportunity for a long-term, well-compensated role.

Salary: $47/hour + $3/hr night shift premium + $175/day LOA + $220/week travel allowance + $600 relocation bonus
Location: Halifax, NS
Schedule: Rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM / 4:30 PM - 1:00 AM / 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Operate hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fabricate metal parts
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Measure and mark metal components using precision tools
Weld or join parts using MIG, TIG, or ARC welding techniques
Operate cranes or forklifts to move heavy materials when required
Perform quality inspections to ensure all products meet specifications
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule

Qualifications

Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
Red Seal or Registered Apprenticed Fabricator certification
Previous experience as a Metal Fabricator or Shipfitter
Proficient in MIG, TIG, or ARC welding and metalworking techniques
Ability to read technical drawings and perform accurate measurements
Must be eligible to work in Canada and have lived in Canada for at least 5 years
Must be able to lift, carry, and set up equipment up to 50 lbs
Pre-employment physical required
Fit-tested respirator mask and full PPE required
Ability to work in confined spaces and commute daily to site
Valid Confined Space and Fall Protection tickets
Must meet requirements for Canadian Government Security clearance
