Role Overview

We are looking for an analytically exceptional Electricity Trader with a strong machine learning background and the competitive instincts to grow into a top-performing trader. This role is designed for someone who combines deep quantitative skill with strong judgment, communication, and accountability—and who wants direct ownership of decisions that impact PnL.

You will start by leveraging data, models, and market structure to support and improve trading decisions, with a clear path toward independent risk-taking and strategy ownership.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyze and trade day-ahead and real-time power markets, focusing on pricing drivers, congestion, and volatility
• Design, evaluate, and refine statistical and machine learning models for price forecasting, spread prediction, and regime detection
• Translate model outputs into actionable trading decisions, not just research
• Perform post-trade analysis to identify edge, biases, and execution improvements
• Monitor live markets, manage risk, and adapt positions as conditions evolve
• Partner closely with senior traders to absorb market intuition, discipline, and execution skills
• Clearly communicate ideas, risks, and outcomes—before and after trades
