Job description

Job description:

* Review all equipment ensuring all safety devices are in place and in excellent working condition

* Responsible for accurate troubleshooting, modifying production equipment and fabrication

* Responsible for all maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems on production equipment

* Ensure correct installation, assembly, positioning, and mechanical set-up of all new equipment

* Complete preventative maintenance task list as assigned

* Ensure all facility equipment has adequate spare components, including but not limited to essential stock

* Use computer to accurately enter all company required information for data collection

* Effectively train others on maintenance safe workplace practices ; may assist in Apprentice training

* Follow all policies and procedures as detailed in process documents and bring discrepancies or improvement opportunities to attention of the Manager

* Attend company training as required

* Actively participate in continuous improvement activities

* Maintain a clean and organized work area

* Perform other duties as assigned by the MaintenanceManager

Qualifications:

* Red Seal / Inter Provincial Industrial Millwright (433A) certification

* 3 years+ experience working in mechanical maintenance in an industrial setting, including metal parts production

* Able to read and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits

* Knowledge of PLCs and electrical an asset

* Able to manage multiple tasks / priorities and adapt to changing situations

* Basic knowledge of OHSA regulations and safety standards

* Attention to detail and ability to keep proper documentation of work completed

* Motivated self-starter

* Willing and able to workassigned shift
