Our client in Thunder Bay is looking for a Junior Project Manager / Estimator to join their construction team across heavy civil projects. This full-time position is ideal for someone with a passion for construction, a strong foundation in project coordination, and the desire to build a long-term career in the field.

Responsibilities
◾Analyze construction plans, technical documents, and site details to calculate material and labor needs for small to mid-sized projects.
◾Compile scope and quantity data into comprehensive cost breakdowns to support bid submissions.
◾Organize day-to-day scheduling of crews, equipment, and materials while overseeing on-site work to keep projects aligned with timelines and budgets.
◾Monitor job site progress to ensure productivity standards and safety protocols are consistently upheld.
◾Track daily performance metrics and financial data, sharing updates with supervisors and senior leaders.
◾Support a variety of planning, coordination, and project oversight tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
◾Basic knowledge and understanding of heavy civil construction projects
◾Experience with both estimation responsibilities and project coordination / project management
◾Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
◾A University Degree / College Diploma in Civil Engineering considered an asset
◾Valid Class G driver’s license
