Overview
Job Title : Operations Manager; Job ID : 85379; Location : Nelson, British Columbia
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all roofing and sheet metal field operations, including supervising foremen, crew leads, and the Sheet Metal Manager.
- Plan and execute daily and weekly crew schedules, job sequencing, labour allocation, and logistics, adjusting for weather, staffing, and site conditions.
- Ensure jobs are properly planned, staffed, equipped, and executed, serving as the primary escalation point for operational issues.
- Oversee material ordering and delivery to ensure accurate quantities, timely supply, and minimal waste while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Manage, mentor, and support foremen and crew leads, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and day-to-day HR matters.
- Promote training, certification, apprenticeship programs, and ongoing career development to build a skilled, reliable, and engaged workforce.
Qualifications
Salary / Rate Range
$100,000.00 – $120,000.00
