Our team is made up of talented professionals who collaborate to solve complex challenges and create resilient, people-centered outcomes. As we grow, we are looking for a dynamic Branch Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead our Kitchener office into its next chapter of impact and success. Since 2007 the Kitchener office has grown into a committed group that prioritizes communication, efficiency, and quality. Our team works entirely in-office and enjoys the face-to-face working environment that being in office provides. As branch manager you will continue to foster and enhance this work environment through leadership and operational oversight. In addition, you will guide the office while increasing the current contingent of 14 staff. The Kitchener office focuses on the following engineering business sectors : municipal infrastructure renewal, land development, and vertical water and wastewater infrastructure.
About the Role
As Branch Manager / Senior Project Manager, you will provide strong leadership, operational oversight, and project excellence. You will serve as a key ambassador for GEI in the region, strengthening client relationships, growing our local presence, and guiding a team of talented professionals. If you’re passionate about making an impact, empowering others, and driving innovation, this is your opportunity to lead at a higher level.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the Kitchener branch’s daily operations
- Foster a strong team culture focused on collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement
- Serve as a senior project manager who leads projects by ensuring technical excellence, schedule and budget adherence, and client satisfaction
- Build and strengthen relationships with clients, community stakeholders, and partners
- Mentor and support staff development across disciplines and career stages
- Collaborate with other GEI branches to share knowledge, resources, and best practices
- Contribute to business development strategies, proposal writing, and client engagement initiatives
- Champion GEI’s values of integrity, service, innovation, and inclusion
It is anticipated that approximately 50% of the Branch Manager’s time will be spent on business-related activities (i.e. non-billable time) and 50% will be spent on project-related activities (i.e. 50% billable).
