Salary: $60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require a bachelors degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft, or project management credentials are considered an advantage.
  • We are looking for at least five years of progressive IT experience.
  • Experience supporting industrial or mining operations is preferred.
  • We need proven experience with enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPN.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based collaboration tools is expected.
  • Experience with Azure and/or hybrid cloud environments is required.
  • A solid understanding of cybersecurity tools and best practices is important.
  • Knowledge of backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions is required.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications and remote-site connectivity solutions is needed.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks and related tools is required.

Responsibilities:
  • We lead on-site IT operations supporting production, logistics, and administrative activities.
  • We ensure the availability and reliability of site infrastructure, including servers, networks, wireless systems, end-user devices, telecommunications, and operational technology interfaces.
  • We manage local support services and drive timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • We maintain business continuity and disaster recovery processes for critical site systems.
  • We act as the main liaison between our Newfoundland operation and our global IT organization.
  • We work with our global Security and Network teams to uphold security policies, standards, and controls.
  • We collaborate with operational leaders to identify technology improvements that strengthen safety, productivity, and efficiency.
  • We support enterprise applications such as ERP, maintenance management, productivity, and collaboration platforms.
  • We evaluate emerging technologies relevant to mining and industrial environments.
  • We lead local technology projects for Lower Cove and support global initiatives.
  • We coordinate infrastructure upgrades, system deployments, and site integrations.
  • We manage project schedules, vendors, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
  • We supervise site IT contractors and external technology service providers as needed.
  • We build strong working relationships across local business stakeholders and global IT teams.
