The Role We are looking for a Material Handler to join our Manufacturing team in Swift Current. . The Material Handler identifies, transports, packages, removes and disposes of materials in accordance with Safe Work Procedures. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills and will also be capable of responding quickly to the ever-changing production needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily checks for equipment and complete check sheets
  • Pick and fill workstations:
  • Deliver materials on time
  • Record all materials transferred to work stations
  • Receive materials, and complete paperwork by deadline
  • Perform accurate cycle counts
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Generate all shipping, (both domestic and export) and receiving documentation

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent
  • Experience in material handling, or previous comparable job experience
  • Competent in the safe operation of a forklift
  • Ability to measure raw stock
  • Able to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel programs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Above average math skills
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively
